Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 is a permit to operate two-wheeled motorized vehicles. In particular, it permits you to drive mopeds or small motorcycles with engines that have no more than 11 kW.

Prerequisites
A driving licence category is only available to those who are at least 16 years old. This license allows the driver to drive a light motorcycle, while A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You must also complete a first-aid course and theoretical training based upon the full program. It is offered by a variety of driving schools. All driving schools follow the same curriculum, despite their costs may differ.
The training in the practical part is made up of a number of driving lessons. These lessons run between three and four hours each. The instructors will instruct you on the basics of your motorcycle and the fundamental rules of the road. The amount of time you spend in training will depend on your skill and progress in learning, however the program calls for a minimum of five hours of instruction on federal roads and 4 hours of training on country roads. You also have to take part in a number of special riding lessons, which are designed to help you improve your ability to handle difficult situations.
Anyone who wishes to drive vehicles in category C must hold a driver's license of category B or more. A person who has a category B licence can continue the training for category A1 by using a simplified curriculum. However, they must complete at least ten theory classes and ten driving lessons in a driving school. This is not an option for those with a category B licence.
Driving License Category A1 can be a great option for teenagers or adults who already driving but want to try something new. The restrictions of this kind of license are designed to ensure the safety of everyone. You can remove them when you prove you're able to safely drive larger vehicles.
You must have a valid medical certification in addition to your driver's license. Depending on your health condition, you may need to pass an eye examination or other tests. You can also upgrade your licence by adding an endorsement. This usually requires passing an additional knowledge test and sometimes a skills test.
Training
To get a Driving License category A1, you will need to pass both the theory and the practical test. You must also take part in theory classes and receive a course. This training will teach you the basic concepts of motorcycling and traffic laws and you will be able to apply in your future driving. In the course, you will learn about the common test materials, as well the additive that contains special requirements for each category of licence.
Once you have successfully completed the theory and practical tests, you can drive a car with an engine capacity of up to 125cc. You can drive a category A1 motorbike only if you have an A1 full category or a full A2 licence. In certain countries, you can gain easier access to higher category licences by first riding motorbikes that are less powerful. For example, in Germany, after two years of experience in Category A1 - motorcycles with that are up to 11 kW - you only need to pass a test in the form of a practical and not a theory test when upgrading to category A2. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 exam is a two-part test which comprises a theoretical portion as well as a practical part. Practical test
The practical portion of the Driving License Category A1 exam is comprised of two parts. The first part is the examiner checking and getting your motorcycle ready for driving. You can also operate tricycles with three wheels (trike) with this licence if it has an engine capacity of up to 125 cc and a power/weight ratio of not more than 15 kW per kilogram.
